The Leadership Impact® (L/I) helps managers and executives understand how their leadership approach influences the behaviour and performance of others, providing clear insight into their real effectiveness.
The Leadership Impact® (L/I) combines two inventories to show how leadership is intended and how it is experienced. The Self inventory reflects the leader’s own view, while the Description by Others inventory captures feedback from peers, managers, and team members. Together, they provide a clear picture of leadership impact.
The Leadership Impact® (L/I) is used by executives, senior leaders, and team leaders to gain a clear view of how their leadership approach shapes behaviour, culture, and results. It helps leaders understand how their day to day actions influence others, and identify where to focus to strengthen engagement, collaboration, and performance. Human Resource and culture leaders also use L/I to support leadership development, track progress over time, and connect behaviour change to broader culture and organisational outcomes.
L/I produces a confidential report that shows how a leader’s approach is experienced by others, and where there may be gaps between intent and impact. As the creators of the tool, we do more than provide results. A Human Synergistics consultant or accredited practitioner works alongside the leader to interpret the findings and turn insight into practical, sustainable change.
